National Firearms Licensing Management System
|Description:||The National Firearms Licensing Management System (NFLMS) is a register of all persons who have applied for, or have been granted, a certificate for a firearm or shotgun.
The Firearms Licensing System provides a method for managing the licensing of firearms, shotguns and explosives and recording all individuals, companies and dealers that apply for certificates. In addition it updates the Police National Computer with details of individuals who own firearms and/or shotguns and records details of anyone who has been refused a certificate or had one revoked.
NPIA manages the provision of the service to SOCA and all police forces in England and Wales; and the development of the application to meet new requirements.
